Bloom Wellness is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data. In short: all your data stays on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or access any of your personal information.
Data Storage
All your data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and standard iOS storage. The following information is stored on your device only:
- Journal entries and reflections
- Gratitude moments
- Mood check-ins and emotional tracking data
- Personal growth goals and progress notes
- Activity tracking and completion data
- App preferences and settings
- Points, streaks, and achievement progress
- Reminder schedules and preferences
Data Usage
Your data remains exclusively on your device. We do NOT:
- Send your data to external servers or cloud services
- Share your data with third parties
- Track your usage, behavior, or activities
- Collect any personal information
- Use analytics, tracking, or advertising services
- Access your data in any way
- Require account creation or login
- Store any data on our servers (we don't have any servers)
Data Retention
To protect your privacy and optimize device storage:
- Most entries (journal, gratitude, mood) are automatically deleted after 90 days
- Active (incomplete) personal growth goals are kept until you complete or delete them
- Completed goals older than 90 days are automatically removed
- Progress notes older than 90 days are automatically cleaned up
- You can export your data at any time before automatic cleanup
- You can manually delete specific entries whenever you want
- You can delete all data at once in the app settings
- Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all data
Notifications
The app requests permission to send local notifications for wellness reminders. These notifications are:
- Processed entirely on your device
- Not tracked, monitored, or recorded
- Completely optional (you control all reminder settings)
- Can be disabled anytime in iOS Settings → Notifications → Bloom Wellness
- Do not transmit any data outside your device
Data Export
You have complete control over your data:
- Export all your data as a text file at any time
- Share or save your exported data however you choose
- Export includes journal entries, gratitude moments, mood history, and growth goals
- Access the export feature in Profile → Data & Privacy → Export Data
Third-Party Services
Bloom Wellness does not integrate with, use, or connect to any third-party services including:
- Analytics platforms (like Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
- Advertising networks
- Social media platforms
- Cloud storage services
- Data collection services
Your data never leaves your device.
Internet Connectivity
Bloom Wellness works completely offline and does not require an internet connection. The app:
- Does not make any network requests
- Does not communicate with any servers
- Functions fully in airplane mode
Children's Privacy
Bloom Wellness is rated for anyone over 9+ years old. The app:
- Does not knowingly collect data from anyone (including children)
- Stores all data locally on the device
- Does not require parental consent as no data is collected or transmitted
Data Security
Your data is protected by:
- iOS built-in security features
- Device-level encryption provided by Apple
- No transmission of data (no network communication = no interception risk)
- No cloud storage or external access points
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your data within the app at any time
- Export: Download all your data as a text file
- Delete: Remove specific entries or all data
- Control: Manage automatic cleanup settings
- No Account: No registration means nothing to delete from our end
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Any changes will be:
- Posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Communicated through app updates when significant changes occur
- Never used to reduce your privacy protections without notice
Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Legal Compliance
Bloom Wellness complies with:
- Apple App Store Guidelines
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) principles
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Since no data is collected or transmitted, most data protection regulations don't apply, but we've designed Bloom Wellness with the highest privacy standards in mind.
